DigitalPakt 2.0: Further developing digital school IT – new prospects for funding your IT infrastructure
Under DigitalPakt 2.0, the federal and state governments are providing a total of five billion euros for digital education. The programme supports the further development of digital education infrastructures – nationwide and in accordance with the funding regulations of the respective federal states.

Which areas are supported?
The federal government has identified the following areas, amongst others, for the expansion and modernisation of digital educational infrastructure:
- School networks and Wi-Fi
- School servers
- Digital equipment for classrooms
- Mobile devices
- Educational software and digital teaching and learning platforms
What does this mean for Netadmin?
Netadmin Usermanager is a software solution for administering school-based Windows and Active Directory infrastructures. It supports schools and school authorities in organising their user management.
With regard to funding, the decisive factor is whether the relevant state programme includes administration software or the corresponding licence costs within the specific project.
The mention of educational software in DigitalPakt 2.0 does not automatically guarantee funding for Netadmin. The relevant state regulations and the decision of the competent authority are decisive.
Nationwide programme – implementation by the federal states
DigitalPakt 2.0 is aimed at schools in all federal states. The federal states regulate the specific funding conditions as well as the application and approval procedures.
School authorities and other bodies authorised under state law are the points of contact for determining whether a procurement falls within the scope of the relevant funding programme.
Netadmin can be deployed in a suitable Windows/Active Directory environment, regardless of the federal state. Funding opportunities and technical suitability must be assessed separately.
